Dear Friends,

Welcome to the 35th President Elect Training Seminar and District Assembly! Thanks to the dedication of Past President Ng Ling Ching and the organising committee, we have an event that promises to be both enjoyable and enriching. I also extend my gratitude to the Rotary Club of Pasir Gudang Mandarin for hosting this important gathering.

Let’s remember that the President Elect Training Seminar and District Assembly are primarily training events. Attendance at the President Elect Training Seminar is mandatory for incoming Presidents. Under the leadership of District Trainer Past President James Lee, the District Training Team has devoted countless hours to designing impactful sessions for President Elects, Club Leaders, and Rotarians.

What is the District Training Assembly?

Given the annual turnover of Rotary leadership, it’s crucial to equip club leaders with the skills and knowledge needed for their roles. The annual District Assembly is the primary leadership training event for each Rotary district worldwide. Through these workshops, participants gain motivation, inspiration, and fresh ideas relevant to club officers, directors, and key committee chairs.

Our sessions are led by some of the district’s most seasoned leaders, offering valuable insights into all areas of Rotary administration and service projects. These discussions provide fresh perspectives to help make each club more effective and engaging.

We are honoured to have Past Rotary International President Shekhar Mehta as our Special Guest and Key Trainer for this event.

Another highlight will be a review by the incoming district governor, covering the theme and priorities set by the new RI President for the upcoming year, along with district goals and implementation plans.

Attending these events will equip you to be an even more effective leader. Becoming a more knowledgeable Rotarian will deepen your dedication to our organization.
