DGE Lee Kong Hwee joined Rotary Club of Pontian in 1991 and was President of the Club in Rotary Years 1994-95 & 2003-2004.
He has held the following positions since:

- Chair, Pontian Rotary Haemodialysis Centre Management Committee
- Chair, RYLA Organizing Committee
- Assistant Governor

- District Trainer
He married Nana in 1983 and the couple has two daughters. Elder daughter Li Qing is a Relationship Manager in Citibank and the younger daughter is managing the family business of Self Serve Yogurt concept stores.
He holds a degree in BSc. (Building) from University of Singapore and was working in the construction industry in Malaysia and Singapore for a number of years before founding Micron Industry Company Sdn. Bhd. with Nana in 1990. He is currently the Executive Director of the company that manufactures and retails fashion accessories and premium items.
