Dear Rotarians,
For two days running, there are no new pledges or donations. So, there is no new change to the earlier list.
However, Rotarians and Clubs continue to bank in the donation keeping me posted too; thank you very much.
Well, I’ve heard about the grand plan of RC Singapore to raise fund via the ‘SMS’ campaign collaborating with the Red Cross of Singapore. We wish them every success. I hope I have got the facts right.
Well, I think DG Ghim Bok is busy attending the Zone Institute in Taipei while
I shall await for his confirmation to release the mentioned funds to RC Tacloban
and to RC Ormoc. Both clubs in Leyte are ever eager to receive them to help in the relief work there right away.
I have offers from Mercy Malaysia to be a medical volunteer for the next few missions in Ormoc, Leyte to man in the medical outpost clinic in the coming days.
I have decided I shall remain loyal to Rotary and not take up their offers.
I am going to Halong Bay soon and will only report again after my return to Hanoi when I have internet access. My sincere apology.
