Dear Presidents and Club Officers
1. The first deadline for application of DDF (District Designated Fund) for your GGs (Global Grant) will be on 15th August 2015. If approved, DDF assigned to your project will be matched 100% by TRF (The Rotary Foundation).
For example, if you apply for USD$6,000 for DDF for your GG, when approved this will mean that your project will receive a total funding of USD$12,000.
However DDF is not free…we request that Clubs contribute to the Annual Fund (AF):
– 1/3 of DDF $ approved for Projects within District 3310
– 2/3 of DDF $ approved for Projects outside District 3310
2. Many of your Clubs are already contributing to the Annual Fund (AF) anyway and getting PHFs recognition. So please help UNLOCK these funds and further matching by The Rotary Foundation (TRF) by doing Global Grants (GGs) and help use this money for Humanitarian purposes rather than letting it sit in the TRF.
3. Rotary Clubs can actively source for Projects, both overseas and within the District or can offer to be Funding Partners by contributing money (by CASH, DDF) and receiving PHFs recognition.
4. If you need more information, please feel free to contact myself or any of the District Committee members listed below.
Thank you
Dr Shahul Hameed
District Grants Subcommittee Chairman
