The World Speech Day Singapore was held at YMCA Singapore on 15 March 2018.
World Speech Day is a global event where speakers shared their vision for “A Better World”. Ms Joan Pereira, MP, Tanjong Pagar GRC, was the Guest-of-Honour for the event.
Rotary Eclub of 3310 has been involved in World Speech Day since its inauguration 3 years ago. For this year’s event President Richard Ong was the Organising Chair with CP Chew Ban Seng as Co-chair.This year’s theme was “Lifelong Journeys: Leadership and Learning”.
The programme for the event included a Women Empowerment segment hosted by PP Vicky Soo which was held in the afternoon, a Young Speakers Showcase where there were 12 speakers from ITE Colleges including our ITE College East Rotaractors and a Rotary Hour session hosted by CP Chew Ban Seng.
