Overview: District Governor’s Official Visit District Governor Datuk Lee Chuen Wan and District First Lady Datuk Naomi Chong visited Rotary Club of Kota Kinabalu on Monday, Sep 11 at the Kimanis Ballroom, Hyatt Regency Kinabalu. The DG and First Lady were accorded a warm welcome by President Ravi and Rotarians of RCKK. DG Datuk Lee had a briefing session with President Ravi, Secretary George and Treasurer Joshua prior to the start of the official meeting. The following Chairmen, Directors and Interactors presented reports: 1. PP Patrick Chin: Club Membership 2017-18 2. PP Robert Lai: Club Administration, Charisma Movement Group visit 3. PP Chris Liew: A. Rotary Community Corps, Sepulut 2017 and
  1. Singapore Rotaractors visit to Sepulut in July2017.
  2. PP Iskandar Ahmad: A. SINDEX 2017-18 – preparations, B. Youth support activities in Sepulut 5. PP Chiang Wei Chia: Foundation matters, RC Pyeong Teck East Global Grant proposal 6. PP Jack Ong: KK Jazz 2017 and prospects for 2018 7. Rotarian Paul Thien: Cure Cataract Campaign Phase 3 at Beaufort and start of Global Grant project Gift of Sight – Sabah with the official launch of the Grant by the DG, this morning. 8. Rotarian Koshy: iQuiz 2017 and KK High School’s excellent performance in the finals this year 9. Capt Ong Kean Soon: Proposed visit to Rotary Club of Agra Taj Mahal, India visit in Feb-March 2018 10. Rotarian Stephen Sutton: Bird Guide Training Phase 4: Activities planned in the fourth phase. 11. Interact Schools presentation – St Francis, Lok Yuk, Sabah College, La Salle and All Saints Interactors presented their respective reports in PowerPoint format. 12. Sec George presented the features of the new RCKK website and invited the DG to do a soft launch.
District Governor Datuk Lee commended the work done by the Club. He urged club members also to do more Global Grant projects and consider contributing more to the Rotary Foundation.
