ROTARY INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION 2019
This year the captioned annual Rotary event was held in Hamburg. DG Henry Tan led a delegation from District 3310. There were many progammes including inspiring opening and closing sessions and warm fellowships.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
1. Rotary Club of Penampang
RC Penampang organised a ” Majlis Buka Puasa” for 120 special children from 3 school in Penampang. Duit Raya and goody bags ( jointly donated by the ” Love Bags ” team of doctors from Hospital Queen Elizabeth) .
2. RC Kuching
RC Kuching oganised a children party and educational activity for 3 orphanage group in Kuching. A total of 60 children accompany by their caretakers were present. The evtn was held at VH Green Nature Park where there is a wide range of animals, birds and plant.
3. RC of Kota Kinabalu Pearl
On 19 May 2019 RC of Kot Kinabalu Pearl brought 32 orphas from AS Sakinah Orphanage in Lokawi, Kota Kinabalu to buy baju rya, tudung, kopiah and shoes iso that they can celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Each child was also given duit raya.
YOUTH
1. ARYLA 2019 (Advanced RYLA) was held at Sedilia, Johor.
2. INTERACT LEADERSHIP TRAINING CAMP SINGAPORE
RC Singapore with the support of NYC organised this event from 6 to 9 Jun 2019 at the Outward Bound School. Beside classroom teaching there was also hands-on session at thr Home of the Aged Sick.
3. IQUIZ
This event was held at the Excelsior International School, Masai, Johor. Team Noobs from SMK Sultan Ismail Johor Bahru emerged as the champion. Thanks to RC Johor Bahru Sentral and RC Bandar Sunway for organizing the I Quiz gain.
FUND-RAISING
1. END POLIO
To share the joy of Hara Raya festival RC of Batu Pahat partnered RNJ SWIMMING ACADEMY in organizing a Rotary/RNJ Parenting CHARITY RUN-cum-EndPolio Awareness and Promotion.
2. RC OF BATU PAHAT
With the support of OCBC Bank RC of Batu Pahat raised MYR30,000. Well done!
3. Rotary Flag Day – Singapore
To raise funds for Elder Care and for Youth and Education causes, FRCD with the support of Rotaractors and Interactors held a Rotary Flag Day on 15 June 2019. The amount raised was over SGD46,000.
INDUCTION
RC Kuching celebrated it’s 83rd anniversary. During the event, the club inducted 3 new members.

ROTARY INFORMATION
1. Volunteer Hours In a first ever study conducted by John Hopkins Iniversity revealedthat in a typical year Rotarians volunteer over 45 million hours of work to help their communities. In monetary term f this work would have cost US$850,000,000. So keep up the good work.
2. Publication of Book
Congratulations to PDG Datuk Zainie for publishing the first ever Rotary book to mark the 80th anniversary of th Rotary movement in Borneo. 700 copies of this book has been printed.
3. Future Convention
