On 8 Nov 2017 the golfers from the Rotary Club of Changi stepped forward enthusiastically to support the Foundation of Rotary Clubs Singapore (FRCS) Charity Golf and Dinner event. This fund-raising event was held at the Sentosa Golf Club – Serapong course.
There were 2 types of golf flights. The first type is a corporate-sponsored one while the second type is sponsored by individuals. As for the second type, out of a total flights of 29, RC of Changi took 7 flights. The sponsors of the 7 flights were Past President Dr Gong (1), President Anthony Lim (1) and Past President Andrew Tan (5).
In addition to supporting the golf event our non-golfing members took 1 charity dinner table.
Our members also supported the bidding event for prizes to raise funds. President Anthony bid successfully for 2 nights/3 days stay in the Maldives worth $1,500. He also put in an auction bid of S$1,600 to win a racing bicycle. PP Boh Tuang Sim won the bid of $500 for the Seymour putter.
