Overview:
Penampang District neighboring the Sabah State Capital Kota Kinabalu was devastated by floods in June 2018. Rotary Club of Kota Kinabalu, through its emergency relief fund called the Sunshine Fund (entirely contributed by members) donated RM 7800 (US$ 1921) as emergency relief to 48 families of mainly immigrant Indonesian workers residing in shanty houses in Kg. Limbanak, Kg Sugud and Kg Ramayah. The donations were handed by the newly installed Club President Philip Koh on July 1 at Kg Ramayah witnessed by Past Presidents Christopher Liew, Jeyan Marimuttu and Ravi Mandalam.
