1. ROTARY LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE TRAINING

Rotary Club of Kinabalu Sutera, headed by President Francis Ng,  hosted a 2-day Rotary Leadership Institute Training in Kota Kinabalu which was held from 25th to 26th August 2018. All the clubs in Kota Kinabalu  were represented including 1 from RC Sandalkan North.  Eleven members from RC Kota Kinabalu Pearl topped the number of participants followed by 7 from RC Penampang. All the participants were very enthusiastic and participative. They had a very fruitful, beneficial and worthwhile 2 days sessions in terms of Rotary Knowledge. All the participants gave a 3-minute facilitation speech at the end of the training.

2. CHARITY MOVIE ORGANISED BY RC OF RAFFLES CITY IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE FOUNDATION OF ROTARY CLUBS (S) LTD

3. OCBC-ROTARY RUN 2018

Distance: 3KM – Family Fun Run
Time:  6.30 a.m. 
Venue: MBKS Kuching, Sarawak
Fee: MYR60 per registrant

4. PUBLICITY CAMPAIGN (SINGAPORE)

The Rotary People of Action brand campaign in Singapore has started on 27 Aug 2018 with an article in the leading English newspaper, Straits Times on 27/8/18. This was followed by another article in the flagship Chinese newspaper, Lianhe Zaobao, on 28 Aug 2018. The campaign is a significant event for the Rotarians in Singapore as it marks the start of a campaign to create greater public awareness of Rotary and help boost the image of the Rotary movement in Singapore. Club-specific ones featuring our members’ faces will come out in the next phase.  With the kind arrangement of AG Elsie Chua, clubs can now strengthen their image through the publication of their projects and other events by working with the media at a special rate. Thanks to Elsie!


5. YOTP AWARD

IPP Sean Tay of RC of Garden City has been featured in the latest issue of Prestige magazine (Aug 2018) in its “Vangard 40 under 40”. On 12 Aug 2018, Sean Tay won the Junior Chamber International’s Top 10 Outstanding Young Persons of the World Award (YOTP). Congratulations to Sean!
