Overview:
This is a long-term flagship project of RCKK, initiated in April 2016 as a successor to our long running Avoidable Blindness Project which was started in the year 2007. During the Rotary Year 2016-17 the Districts of Penampang and Papar were covered by a series of Camps held in villages and small towns. Moving further southward, this year our schedule is to cover the districts of Beaufort, Kuala Penyu and Sipitang. Team of Rotarians consisting of Chairman of CCC Rotarian Paul Thien, Past President Robert Lai, Past President Chiang Wei Chia and President Ravi called on the District Officer Beaufort, Tuan Haji Mohd. Shaid Bin Othman on Aug 3, to brief him and seek the support of the District Administration (Picture). Subsequently President Ravi along with Chairman Rotarian Paul and Past President Chiang Wei Chia also visited Beaufort on 23 Aug to give a detailed briefing to the village development officers and village chiefs on Cataract and the CCC project undertaken by the Club (Picture).
