1. CPR
RC of Sarikei in partnership with Public Medical Group, Majlis Daerah Sarikei,Malaysian Red Crescent Sarikei Chapter, Malaysian Medical Association Sarikei Sub-Branch organised a CPR session at Sentral Market, Sarikei.



2. BLOOD DONATION
RC of Sarikei together with Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah, Daerah Sarikei, SMK St. Anthony, Persatuan Kwong Wai Siew, Sarawak Teacher’s Union Bahagian Sarikei, Sarikei Clan Chen Association organised The Kempen Derma Darah Perdana on 27 April 2019 at Dewan Saint Anthony.

3. MEDICAL MISSION
RC of Miri and RC Belait in partnership with Rotaract Club of Curtin Malaysia organised a joint medical mission to Long Laputa, Baram, Sarawak from 3 to 5 May 2019. The event was supported by Putaka Negeri Sarawak, Miri, Hospital Miri, Klinik Kesihatan Bandar Miri, Welfare Department Miri, JKKK Long Laput, Kospen Long Laput and Klinik Kesihatan Long Lama.


4. TREE PLANTING
Rotary Clubs in Kota Kinabalu and Kota Kinabalu City Hall at Taman Teluk Likas Kota Kinabalu planted 42 trees called tabebuia rosea (or cherry blossom trees). 



CONFERENCES, SEMINARS AND FELLOWSHIP EVENTS

1. 28TH DISTRICT CONFERENCE
This event was held in Penang from 26 to 28 April 2019. There was great fellowship and also a time to update ourselves on Rotary.

2. KOTA KINABALU JOINT SEMINAR AND FELLOWSHIP
RC of Changi and RC of Likas Bay jointly organised the above event with the participation of Rotarians from Johor, Brunei, Sarawak and Sabah from 2 to 4 May,2019 at Kota Kinabalu.





3. SINGAPORE JOINT PRESIDENTS’ MEETING (JPM)
At the JPM held on 3 May 2019 at Gu Ma Jia, the attendees included both the current and the incoming Club Presidents as well as Assistant Governors and District Officers. Mark Wang did a review of the joint projects as well as fellowship events that were completed to date. It is a good time to get ready to pass the torch to the 2019-2020 team. During the meeting PP Elsie Chua spoke about using the media to publicise Rotary while PP Jona Pang gave us information on the fund raising on June 15, 2019 for Foundation of Rotary Clubs Singapore. PP Yeo Chuen Eng updated us on an opportunity that has been presented to us to run an elder care centre. He presented to us the estimated costs of setting up and running the centre. PP Chuen Eng encourages Rotary clubs here to come together quickly to take on that responsibility. The meeting was followed by dinner and fellowship.

At the 28th District Conference held in Penang from 26 to 28 April 2019 the following clubs and/or persons were given recognition/awards.
