We are into the fourth month of our Rotary year together. I have visited more than half of
the clubs in our district. It has been tough, but enjoyable.

I thought before we leave for the R.I. Convention in Bangkok this 5-9th May, I wish to
update all of you of the events of the last 3 weeks since my last letter to you and to
share some of the events at the Convention which our District are going to be involved.

This year the International partners to this project were the Rotary Club of Likas Bay, Kota Kinabalu and the Rotary Club of Lu Chuo, Taipei, Taiwan. Both these clubs have been
partners to this project for the last four years where 2,744 operations have been successfully carried out. The Rotary Club of Likas Bay was led by its President KP Lu. Also in the delegation were two doctors from Kota Kinabalu.

On the 7th March, I finally completed my official visit to all the 63 clubs in our District. It was indeed a very happy feeling to be able to successfully complete all the visits in ample time and giving us the opportunity to make another rounds of visit to some clubs, accept invitations to project launching both within and overseas, accept fund raising invitations, anniversaries, inter-clubs games and fellowship, youth programs and other invitations until June.

District Governor Hj. Zainie is now addressing distinguished guests and fellow Rotarians in a dinner banquet in Singapore in conjunction with the World Understanding and Peace Day celebrating today the 23rd February the 107th birthday of Rotary International.

It’s me again. I trust that many of you would have enjoyed your Christmas and New Year holidays and many are back to the usual routines. Many may have made New Year resolutions to do this and that… But many amongst us have this resolution… that is to STRENGHEN OUR CLUBS and our DISTRICT.
