Dear Rotarians and friends,
1. We are pleased that our remitted funds were used to buy the necessary
stuff to help rebuild identified damaged schools in Leyte and Samar so
that children can go back to classes.
2. I wish to share RC Tacloban President Joel Caminade’s sms message:
” Good day Dr. Ho, for your reference:
This are the items given by the district (3860).
1. Corrugated GI sheets G24- 4,000pcs;
nails- 50boxes;
common nail #2- 30boxes;
common nail#3-60boxes;
common nail#4- 20boxes;
hammer-500pcs;
saw-500pcs;
food packs-200packs.”
3. From Anna Bumagat’s report (my contact person in RC Ormoc:)
From RC Cebu, through Pres. Robin Ong, aquaboxes (tents),
relief goods and food packs (2,600 pieces)
Pres. Robin called me again last night..more aquaboxes,
handtools and hygience kits are arriving in the coming days..
both for Ormoc and Tacloban..but this is club effort, not from the District.
From Butuan clubs, they got 4,000 corrugated sheets.
Incoming RI Director Guiller Tumangan with other PDG’s from Manila will visit us next week.
4. FYI: I found this banner posting on facebook page thanking DG Edgar.
5. Well, I wish to appeal to the few clubs and individuals who have pledged donation
to bank in their contribution by next week so that we can complete the project
and send over the remaining funds to the Philippines as soon as possible.
