Dear Rotarians,
After a short holiday, I am back in Malaysia and will refocus on disaster
relief work again.
I am most happy that DG Chew Ghim Bok has approved the remittance
of USD10,000 each to RC Tacloban and RC Ormoc today.
Action will be taken soon. And I will follow-up on these two clubs to
account properly on use of the donated funds.
We are still working on shipping the ten water filter systems to Cebu city.
I am pleased that PP Thomas from RC Kuching Central has informed me
his club collected another RM6,250 for the Philippines disaster.
As you all know the Rotary Clubs in Singapore are working with the Singapore Red Cross in a ‘sms’ fund-raising drive. I wish them a BIG success.
In the meantime, I am also writing for Tacloban update on situation there.
