On behalf of the District Awards Committee 2009-2010, I am pleased to send you the District Awards 2009-2010 document, and also the cover design of the proposed commemorative magazine for the winning projects.
I need your co-operation for the following after reading the document:
To check your club logo on the cover design, and feedback if there is a mistake
To review the deadline for submission. For the project submission, you should submit as soon as the project is completed, instead of waiting till the deadline. Please remember to submit also a 200 words project summary plus two selected photos for the commemorative magazine
To inform and distribute this document to all your board members and committee chairs, and to remind them of early submission
To encourage all your club members to give their best and make it to the final for publishing your projects in the commemorative magazine for experience and best practice sharing with nearly 2000 Rotarians, Rotaractors, and Interactors in RI D3310

Recognising the efforts of our Rotarians
Rotarians around the world work tirelessly, volunteering their time to make their communities and their world a better place to live.
To keep the Spirit of Service alive, Rotary International, the Rotary Foundation and the District Governor believe that it is vital to provide recognition to those who actively participate in service activities.
This recognition is delivered in terms of awards which will be presented to the recipients at the Rotary District Assembly in 2010.
The awards help to acknowledge the valuable contributions club members make of their time, service and money.
As in previous years, awards and recognition will be given by both the Governor as well as Rotary International.
List of Awards:
There are five categories of awards for RY 2009/2010.
Category A – District Awards for Rotary Clubs
Category B – District Awards for Rotarians and Rotary Clubs
Category C – Rotary International awards for individuals
Category D – Rotary International awards for Clubs
Category E – Rotary Award for World Understanding and Peace for non-Rotarians and Organisations.
Deadlines
Due to the very busy Rotary year, please note the deadlines for the various categories. Unfortunately we will not be able to accept late submissions.
