Dear Rotarians, Rotaractors, Interactors, Families and Friends of Rotary,
Greetings from the Trans-Sabah Walk N Climb Team. Here comes our next report.
AG Erich is still at the Fairy Garden Resort in Kundasang and PP Sylvester has returned to Kuching. President Franco Lee from the RC of Tawau Tanjung arrived last night, just in time to start the Mount Kinabalu climb.
On Saturday morning (day 7), after completing about 1/3 of the day’s distance, AG Erich gave up walking due to exhaustion. One of the support vehicles drove him to the Fairy Garden Resort where he recovered well. However, the local medical practitioner advised him not to climb Mount Kinabalu. The remaining team of six
PP Tay Wai Lien – RC of Singapore West
Rtn. Robin Tay Lian Kiat – RC of Pudu, Kuala Lumpur
PP Leong Chee Woh – RC of Johor Bahru
President Franco Lee – RC of Tawau Tanjung
