Our ROTARY CLUB OF VICTORIA,SINGAPORE has visited Toa Payoh Sensory Park, a Building Construction Authority Silver Award on 3/7/10 for our first club meeting to give variety and environmental interest to our members and friends. We saw how Architects and Landscape Architects, changed a piece of vacant land to be an Universal Design & a 5-Senses Park for everyone.
Tonite, we are planning our soft launch to be held on Fri. 16/7/10 at 32 Boat Quay for our PROJECT 2010 PLANTS. We welcome all Rotarians to join us to make SINGAPORE, a Liviable and Lovable City in a Garden with the planting of 2010plants.
If you join our Project 2010 by getting sponsors under your own club’s name, we welcome you to be one of our supporting Club whereby your club logo will be printed in the 10,000 flyer distributed in Singapore and by email throughout the WORLD until the planting day in Oct. 2010!
PHFs are VERY WELCOME from any country as we put into ACTION: BUILDING COMMUNITIES, BRIDGING CONTINENTS.
We will be printing 2,000 flyers first to be distributed to potential sponsors (maybe potential Rotarians) at the Singapore Garden Festival from 15 to 22 July 2010. Our co-organiser , Institute of Parks and Recreation, Singapore has a complimentary booth no.A08, where the public can sign in as sponsor for the 2010PLANTS. If you are visiting the booth, just sign in even for a tree for yourself, your family, your company and your club. YOU have a choice to plant your own trees. The sponsorship of trees is for Garden City Fund to assist students to study,research and maintain the environment. Tax exemption is applicable for Singapore taxation only.
We are combining our effort with Joo Chiat Culture Toastmasters Club to hold a “Be GREEN KID” workshop at Joo Chiat Community Club on Sat. 14/8/10 to educate the young on Nature and how to be creative in writing, reading and speaking.
Let’s us work together to plant our trees to save our planet and create more Bio-diversity in Singapore and also to commensurate UN International Year 2010 of Bio-diversity. Please send us your logo by Mon. 12/7/10 through me and our printer, Andrew at andrew@dc121. com to meet the dateline for the flyer to be ready on Thurs. 15/7/10.
